Edo CSO Asks Buhari To Sack Service Chiefs, Protests Against Insecurity

By Iduozee Paul

As the insecurity in Nigeria continues to rise, the Civil Rights Group in Benin City has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to  sack the Service Chiefs for their inefficiency and ineptitude in the fight against insurgency in  Nigeria.

The Civil Rights Group, known as the Talakawa’s Parliament, protested peacefully  against insecurity in Nigeria and the senseless  killing of innocent Nigerians, majorly Christians, by terrorists and the need for President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Service Chiefs.

The group asked the federal and state governments to sit tight to curtail the menace of insecurity in the states, since state governors collect security votes monthly.

Addressing Journalists, the speaker of Talakawa’s Parliament , Marxist Kola Edokpayi said it was  high time, Edo People ascertained  the owners of the cattle grazed by Fulani herdsmen with a view to resolving the farmers/herders crisis that have claimed many lives in  the state.

The parliament resolved,  “That Edo State  Governor should put modalities in place to stop the influx of  herdsmen driven from Ondo State  into Edo State as they are gaining entrance into Edo State on daily basis. ”

It equally called on the Senators not to ever pass the bill seeking to establish an agency for repentant and de-radicalized Boko Haram terrorists into law so it will not be seen as encouragement for the killing of innocent Nigerians.

The body called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack all the Service Chiefs for inefficiency and   ineptitude in the fight against insurgency in Nigeria.
