The political obstacle and chaos in the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Edo State seems to getting messer, as the Vice Chairman of Ovia North-East Local Council, Hon. Maureen Osaro Ekhoragbon, has tendered her resignation.

Hon. Ekhoragbon in a letter to the Council Chairman expressed her decision to terminate her elective position as Vice Chairman, pointing accusing fingers to administrative, political and bad governance grounds.

She said in the letter made available to newsmen, “I want to use this opportunity to thank the governor of Edo state Mr Godwin Obaseki and the executive Chairman of Ovia North East LGA for this opportunity to serve as vice Chairman’

“I’m tendering my resignation letter based on administrative, Political and governance grounds as Politics and governance are inextricably connected”.

She urged those that may be affected by her resignation to accept the news as a formal way of terminating her position as Vice Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area.

It would be recalled that, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Paul Onuobamu resigned from  his position last week Thursday, in Benin city.

With this latest resignation, the embattled governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki seems to be loosing more followers even as the governorship primaries of the APC draws nearer.
