Music maestro, Prof. Victor Efosa Uwaifo has extolled Rt. Rev. Peter O. J. Imasuen, Bishop of Benin Diocese of the Anglican Communion for his exemplary quality and looking younger than his age.
The music legend and sculptor, spoke at the 60th birthday thanksgiving celebration of the bishop in Benin- city recently.
Prof Uwaifo said, “I am happy for you my friend and my brother. At the age of 60 you look much younger than your age. You will live and celebrate your 70th birthday.”
Prof Uwaifo also sang one of his popular songs, Joromi to usher the celebrant and his wife on to the dance floor, adding more color to the celebration.
Chairman, planning committee of the event, Ven. Moses Onowhuke said since the celebrant has been in Lord’s vineyard in the past 18 years pointing out that a lot of progress and achievements have been recorded.
“We want to thank God for today; the 5th of July, 2021 is when we mark the 60th birthday of Lord Bishop, Rev Peter Imasuen. It has been a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord. We thank God for the bishops and eminents that came from all works of life to grace the occasion.
“We also thank God for the giant strides made by the Lord Bishop for the 18 years he has been in office as Bishop of Benin Diocese, Anglican Communion.
“A lot of progress and achievements have been made. That’s why you see the crowd that came to celebrate with him. We appreciate God for his life and the wonderful things God has used him to do,” he stated.
Wishing her husband good health, Amb. (Mrs.) Gladys Omo Imasuen prayed God to give the celebrant his heart desires.
“My birthday wishes to for my daddy and husband is for him to grow in health, grow in nurture of God. And all his heart desires the Lord will bring to pass, prolong his days and bless him,” she prayed.
Thanking all that came, t. Rev. Peter O. J. Imasuen, said he could not sufficiently appreciate all those that came to celebrate with him.
He thanked the Secretary to the Edo State Government, SSG, Osarodion Ogie for what God is using him to do for the things of God and narrated how the SSG had contributed to building the house of God.
He urged the SSG to extend his appreciation to the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, also a July celebrant, and wished him a happy birthday.
